Calm down for just a moment gamers, but Asus has confirmed that the ROG Ally, their gaming handheld console is set to debut in Malaysia on the 19th on June. On top of that, they’ve also announced just how much it costs, but you’ll have to work it out for yourself.
On the Asus ROG Malaysia Facebook page, the company has posted a picture with a puzzle on show, depicting three different equations and asking fans to work it out. If you can work it out, the answer will be the price of the ROG Ally, specced with an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor under the hood. They’ve also given a small hint here with the starting laptop in the equations being the ROG Flow Z13 ZCRNM, which costs RM12,999.
We’ll throw you guys another hint too. The ROG Ally with the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor mated to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 512GB PCIe Gen4 SSD costs USD699 (~RM3,229.38) in the US. The console also gets a 7-inch, FHD IPS touch screen display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 500nits and full coverage of the sRGB colour gamut. The joysticks and buttons meanwhile should be familiar to those of you using an Xbox controller already. You can read more about the ROG Ally here.
