Maxis has officially opened its Maxis Business Innovation Centre at KLCC. This is their digitally immersive space designed to foster innovation and drive digital transformation for businesses. The Maxis Business Innovation Centre was officiated by Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil accompanied by the Communications and Digital Ministry’s Secretary-General Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa.
The enterprise-focused centre is located on the ground floor of Menara Maxis and it covers a space of over 9,000 square feet. The centre enables customers to access an IoT lab, auditorium with state-of-the-art AV technology, co-sharing space for collaboration and a multi-industry use cases enabled by cloud, AI, IoT, Machine Learning and more. According to Maxis, the Business Innovation Centre will provide opportunity for businesses of all sizes and across industries to harness the power of digital technology.
Fahmi Fadzil said “My Ministry has been given the task to drive the digital economy forward in Malaysia as part of our strategic framework. This requires all stakeholders to play their role through collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing.”
Meanwhile, Maxis CEO Goh Seow Eng said, “Maxis Business Innovation Centre has enormous potential to combine the power of technology and innovation to benefit our customers in their digital transformation journeys. We are committed to supporting the national digital agenda and look forward to leveraging this immersive environment to collectively generate innovative ideas, solutions and successful outcomes for businesses in Malaysia.”
Some of the notable digital solutions on display include a 5G smart surveillance use case for emergency response, smart agriculture solutions to increase farming efficiency, smart fulfilment for warehouse efficiency and digital eCommerce solutions. Even the Bean Brothers cafe located next to the Business Innovation Centre is also using digital solutions from Maxis Business. Besides having a business innovation centre in the Klang Valley, Maxis is also having roadshows across the country to create further awareness of digital solutions and opportunities for small businesses.
