Sime Darby Motors and BYD have officially launched three 3S (sales, service and spare parts) centres in the Klang Valley. Located at Ara Damansara, Glenmarie and Cheras, these BYD 3S centres aim to provide good accessibility, convenience and sales and aftersales services for BYD customers in the Klang Valley.
Sime Darby Beyond Auto (SDBA) has invested approximately RM11 million into its new BYD 3S centre located at Sime Darby Motors City, Ara Damansara which has about 19,375 square foot built-up area. The service facility has a total of four service working bays with the capacity to service up to 270 units of vehicles each month and is staffed with 48 employees.
The BYD 3S Centre in Glenmarie is managed by BYD Sisma Auto which has a built-up area of 21,527 square feet. It has the capacity to display up to 9 vehicles and the service facility is equipped with 10 service work bays. It is located at 19, Jalan Perintis U1/52, Section U1 Temasya, Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
Meanwhile, the BYD 3S Centre in Cheras has been set up by Millenium Autobeyond with a built-up area of approximately 21,323 square feet. The showroom has the capacity to display up to 4 cars and is equipped with 5 service work bays. The Cheras outlet is located at No 691, Batu 5, Jln Cheras, Taman Mutiara Barat.
The new 3S centres were officiated by BYD’s Chairman and President, Mr Wang Chuanfu along with Sime Darby Berhad’s CEO Dato Jeffri Salim Davidson, Managing Director of Sime Darby Motors Andrew Basham and Managing Director of Sime Darby Motors Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Macau, Jeffrey Gan.
The BYD Chairman and Founder Mr Wang said, “We are pleased to further strengthen our partnership with Sime Darby Motors to bring our innovative vehicles with great driving experience, green technology to all Malaysians, and we would like to congratulate Sime Darby Beyond Auto for the opening of its first BYD 3S centre, which marks an important milestone for our growth within the region. BYD will be bringing in more advanced products and technologies to the Malaysian market for a better green life mobility experience.”
BYD says they are working diligently towards building more BYD showrooms to cater to the increasing demands and customer needs especially in the northern and southern regions of Malaysia. SDBA expects to further grow its dealer network across the country by the end of 2023.
BYD delivered over 1,000 units of its Atto 3 electric SUV in Malaysia last month, making it the most popular EV option at the moment. With a starting price of RM149,800, the BYD Atto 3 comes with an impressive 6-year/150,000km warranty as well as 8-year/160,000km and 8-year/150,000km warranties for the battery and motor respectively.
