Setel has announced that its automated parking payment feature for Suria KLCC is finally back after it was disabled temporarily for maintenance. The feature allows registered Setel users to drive in and out of Suria KLCC car park seamlessly without the need of winding down the window.

The automated parking system which is currently still offered as a Pilot test uses number plate recognition and you’ll need to activate it from the Setel app which is available on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Huawei AppGallery. From the Setel app home screen, tap on Parking and then go to Automated Parking payments. For first-time users, you’ll need to add your vehicle by entering your plate number, selecting the body colour and also the type of vehicle you’re driving.

Once your vehicle is activated for Automated parking, you can drive in at the car park via the Setel lane. Do look out for the Setel sign at the entry and exit points of the car park, and stop at the boom gate to allow the camera to scan your vehicle’s number plate. Once you’re in, you can view your parking session details from the app and ensure you have sufficient eWallet balance before you exit the car park.

According to Setel, it may take up to 5 seconds to scan the vehicle’s number plate. For a seamless experience, you can also enable auto top-up for your Setel eWallet so you won’t have to worry about having insufficient balance.

Besides Suria KLCC, Setel Automated parking is also available at KL Convention Centre, Kompleks Dayabumi, Neo Cyber, Permata Sapura (Lot 91) and Plaza CrystalVille Setapak. The Setel app also supports street parking payments which now support all councils in Selangor including Ampang Jaya.
