If you’re still looking to buy a new Touch ‘n Go card at normal prices, it appears that stocks are now widely available. At the time of writing, the new Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card is still in stock online and they will be restocked on a daily basis.

The Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card with NFC feature retails for RM10 each and you can purchase one from the Lazada Online Store. Take note that you must checkout and pay using the Touch ‘n Go eWallet.

According to the store’s listing, the Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card will be released every morning at 7am and each user is only entitled to purchase one Enhanced TNG card within 6 months from the date of purchase.

In case you missed it, the new Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card offers the easiest way to top up the physical card via the TNG eWallet app. All you’ll need is a smartphone with NFC functionality. The TNG card top-up is done instantly in real-time and there are no additional charges.

In February, Touch ‘n Go announced that it will increase its card production by 30% from 2.68 million cards in 2022 to 3.5 million cards in 2023. However, take note that the new Enhanced TNG card will expire in 7 years versus the 10 years offered for the classic TNG card.

The government has recently started dismantling Touch ‘n Go’s monopoly for highway tolling and public transport, by opening up the payment options to credit and debit cards. Works Minister Alexander Nanti Linggi announced that selected highways will adopt an open payment system which will enable credit and debit card acceptance by September 2023. Meanwhile, Transport Minister Anthony Loke has also instructed Prasarana and KTM Berhad to adopt an open payment system for trains and buses.
