In case you missed it, Yes 5G is the first to introduce NVIDIA GeForce Now cloud gaming service in Malaysia. As part of its exclusive beta trial, Yes 5G customers can try out the cloud gaming service for free until 10th April 2023. Upon expiry yesterday, Yes 5G notified customers that its exclusive beta offer has been extended for a couple of days until 13th April 2023.
For those who don’t know, NVIDIA GeForce Now allows you to play games from a cloud server and this reduces the need to have a computer with high-spec hardware. All you’ll need is a decent machine and an excellent internet connection with low latency, preferably fibre broadband or a stable 5G connection.
GeForce Now works on a mobile device, laptop, desktop computer or even a smart TV. Essentially the heavy lifting is handled by NVIDIA’s servers and your personal device is just for streaming and input. Yes, that means you can play demanding games on an Apple MacBook Air.
Take note that NVIDIA is only offering processing power through the cloud and you’ll need to own the actual games to play them. It supports a variety of game titles and you can link your Steam, Epic Game Store or GOG account to the NVIDIA GeForce Now platform.
At the moment, there’s only a single Exclusive Beta trial plan that’s offered for free for customers with a Yes 5G plan. The current option allows users to enjoy 6 hours of non-stop gaming per session and it also has RTX enabled. We don’t know how much the cloud gaming plan will cost after the Beta trial but we are told that it will be an “Amazing” price for Yes customers.
