Malaysia’s Digital TV provider MYTV has rolled out Mana-mana, a new online video streaming platform. This allows users in Malaysia to stream free-to-air Live TV channels as well as selected video-on-demand (VOD) content.

The MYTV Mana-mana platform can be accessed on their website or through their mobile app which is currently only available on the Google Play Store. Unlike your typical streaming platform, Mana-mana has no login page or registration required, so you can start streaming immediately from the web or via the mobile app.

UPDATE: TV1, TV2, Sukan RTM, Berita RTM, Okey and TV6 are now available on Mana-mana.

Despite having 16 Digital TV and 11 Radio channels broadcasted by MYTV, the Mana-Mana platform is only offering 4 Live TV options – TVS, Bernama TV, SUKE TV and TV Alhijrah. You don’t get any RTM or MediaPrima channels at the moment. There’s also a small selection of VOD series which include Animal Society, Busy Bodies, More Curious and other various local and international content.

The Live TV content supports 480p, 720p and 1080p video quality streaming which requires between 1170kbps to 3380kbps of bandwidth. Take note that by default, the videos are muted and you’ll have to adjust the volume whenever you tap on new content. On Android, it supports picture-in-picture playback, so you can watch Live TV from a floating pop-up on top of other applications.

If you want to watch RTM channels on your mobile device, there’s RTMKlik which offers Live TV streaming for TV1, TV2, Okey, Berita RTM, Sukan RTM, TV6 and Parliament channels.
