Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Helio G85 processor that comes with either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, which is “expandable” using the operating system’s “Extended RAM” feature. Regardless of which RAM option you pick, both models come with 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 1TB.
For taking pictures, it gets a 50MP f/1.8 main camera and a secondary low-resolution QVGA (248 x 328) camera which we don’t know what it is used for. The device has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and it supports 802.11ac WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. This is a 4G LTE phone with dual-SIM support.
Powering the Redmi 12C is a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging via an old-school micro-USB port instead of USB-C. Out of the box, it runs on an older Android 12 with MIUI 13 skin on top.
