Asus Malaysia has announced the arrival of its latest Zenbook 14X OLED series (UX3404) for the local market. According to Asus, this is the first 13th gen Intel Core powered premium OLED laptop to launch in Malaysia.
The Zenbook 14X OLED series is essentially the beefed up version of the Zenbook 14 OLED. It gets a more powerful Intel H-series processor and has better cooling with the option of having discrete graphics. As a result, it is slightly heavier at 1.5kg but it is still quite compact at 16.9mm thin.

The Zenbook 14X OLED (UX3404) is offered in three variants and here’s the official pricing in Malaysia:
- Core i5-13500H + 512GB (Inkwell Gray) – RM4,999
- Core i7-13700H + 1TB (Sandstone Beige / Inkwell Gray) – RM5,999
- Core i9-13900H + 1TB + GeForce RTX 3050 (Inkwell Gray) – RM6,999
For now, only the Core i7 with 1TB storage model is available for purchase in Malaysia. The other Zenbook 14X OLED variants such as the base Core i5 512GB storage variant and the range-topping Core i9 model with 1TB storage and GeForce RTX 3050 graphics will be arriving in Malaysia sometime in early April.
Asus Zenbook 14X OLED Specs
The Zenbook 14X OLED series comes with a 14.5″ 16:10 120Hz OLED display which pushes a 2.8K resolution of 2880×1800 pixels and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. The standard models get a non-touch screen with peak brightness up to 600 nit with DisplayHDR 600 True Black certification. Meanwhile, the range topping RM6,999 model gets a touch-screen but it has a lower peak brightness at 550 nit along with DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification.
As mentioned earlier, the new series are running on 13th gen Intel Core H-series processors configured with up to 32GB RAM LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD storage. The Core i5 and i7 models gets Intel Iris X graphics while the i9 version gets an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050. To keep things cool and to sustain top performance, the laptop is equipped with Asus IceCool technology and you can change the fan mode between whisper, standard and performance using the Fn + F hotkeys.
The Zenbook 14X OLED features a FHD IR camera equipped with ambient light sensor and colour sensor, and it allows you to unlock the laptop with just your face. The hinge allows you to lie the laptop completely flat at 180-degrees and it also supports an Asus Pen 2.0 stylus with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity.
In terms of connectivity, the Zenbook 14X OLED has 2x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, 1x full-sized USB 3.2 port, 1x HDMI 2.1 port and 1x audio jack. For faster wireless connectivity, it supports 802.11ax WiFi 6e and Bluetooth 5. The laptop comes with a 3-cell 70Wh Li-ion battery can it can be charged up to 60% in 49 minutes using its bundled 100W fast charger. If you forgot your charger, it can be be juiced up slowly with standard 5 to 20V USB-C chargers or power banks. Alternatively, you can fast charge with any compatible USB Power Delivery chargers.
