Apple’s latest M2-powered MacBook Pro and Mac Mini 2023 now available in Malaysia

Apple’s new M2-powered MacBook Pro and Mac Mini announced last month are finally available for purchase in Malaysia. You can place your orders now on the official Apple Store and customise them according to your preference.

To recap, the new MacBook Pro starts from RM8,799 for the 14″ version and from RM10,799 for the 16″ size. Meanwhile, the Mac Mini is now offered at a lower starting price of RM2,499.

In terms of waiting time, the MacBook Pro for both sizes are currently listed with a shipping time of one business day but it can be extended to 5 business day or more if you customise your order with up to 96GB memory and 8TB of SSD storage. The compact Mac Mini is currently listed with a shipping time of least 5-7 business days regardless of which customisation you pick.

To recap, here are the retail prices for the new Macs before additional customisation:

  • MacBook Pro 14 (M2 Pro 10-core CPU+16-core GPU, 16GB Memory, 512GB SSD) – RM8,799
  • MacBook Pro 14 (M2 Pro 12-core CPU+19-core GPU, 16GB Memory, 1TB SSD) – RM10,799
  • MacBook Pro 14 (M2 Max 12-core CPU+30-core GPU, 32GB Memory, 1TB SSD) – RM13,199
  • MacBook Pro 16 (M2 Pro 12-core CPU+19-core GPU, 16GB Memory, 512GB SSD) – RM10,799
  • MacBook Pro 16 (M2 Pro 12-core CPU+19-core GPU, 16GB Memory, 1TB SSD) – RM11,599
  • MacBook Pro 16 (M2 Max 12-core CPU+38-core GPU, 32GB Memory, 1TB SSD) – RM14,799

Mac Mini (Apple M2 chip) price in Malaysia

  • Mac Mini (M2 8-core CPU+10-core GPU, 8GB Memory, 256GB SSD) – RM2,499
  • Mac Mini (M2 8-core CPU+10-core GPU, 8GB Memory, 512GB SSD) – RM3,299
  • Mac Mini (M2 Pro 10-core CPU+16-core GPU, 16GB Memory, 512GB SSD) – RM5,599

Maxed out MacBook Pro and Mac Mini pricing

If money is no object, you can max out your MacBook Pro and Mac Mini mini order with the best processor, memory and storage options. As calculated earlier, the MacBook Pro 14 with M2 Max (12-core CPU, 38-core GPU) along with 96GB memory and 8TB SSD costs RM25,999. Meanwhile, the MacBook Pro 16 with a similar configuration costs RM26,799.

For the Mac Mini, the fully spec-ed up version with M2 Pro (12-core CPU, 19-core GPU), 32GB memory, 8TB SSD and 10Gbps Ethernet costs RM18,399. For the same price, you could get the Mac Studio M1 Max (10-core CPU, 24-core GPU), 32GB memory and 8TB SSD.
