The Oppo Reno 8T series has officially arrived in Malaysia and it boasts high-resolution cameras of up to 108MP. These are Oppo’s new upper-midrange Reno series devices with prices starting from RM1,399.

The Oppo Reno 8T 5G is now available for pre-order until 10th February 2023 and it is offered in Sunrise Gold and Midnight Black. Oppo Malaysia also is bundling freebies worth up to RM377 which includes an Oppo Enco Buds 2 and free 1-year Oppo care which includes a screen protection plan and extended warranty. This pre-order promo is available form today, 7th February until 10th February 2023. Meanwhile, the cheaper Reno 8T 4G version will go on sale from 11th February 2023 alongside the Enco Air 3 wireless earbuds which are priced at RM249.
Oppo Reno 8T 5G Malaysia Specs
Among the two, the Oppo Reno 8T 5G has the better spec with a 6.7″ dual-curved Full HD+ AMOLED display capable of pushing up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 360Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chip mated to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage which can be expanded via a microSD card.
In the camera department, the Reno 8T 5G gets a triple-camera setup which includes a 108MP f1.7 main camera and two 2MP shooters for depth and microlens with up to 40x magnification. The tiny punch-hole on the display houses a 32MP selfie camera.
Powering the Reno 8T 5G is a 4,800mAh battery which supports 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. According to Oppo, you can get a full charge in just 44 minutes while a quick 5-minute charge can deliver 5.5 hours of calling. The device also gets a pair of stereo speakers and Oppo is boasting a 48-month fluency protection which ensures that the phone will start, operate and run apps like brand new even after years of work and play. Out of the box, it runs on ColorOS 13.0.
Oppo Reno 8T 4G Malaysia Specs
The Oppo Reno 8T 4G is a more standard device with a flat 6.43″ Full HD+ AMOLED display pushing a 90Hz refresh rate and up to 180Hz touch sampling rate. The device runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 chip with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
For taking pictures, the Reno 8T 4G also boasts a triple-camera setup but it uses a 100MP main camera, 2MP microlens and a 2MP depth camera. The device also gets a 32MP selfie camera that sits in a punch-hole on the display.
The battery of the Reno 8T 4G is slightly bigger at 5,000mAh but it gets a slower 33W SuperVOOC charging speed. According to Oppo, it can push a 54% charge in 30 minutes. Out of the box, it also runs on ColorOS 13.0.
