Having issues with your iPhone, AirPods and MacBook? Find out if you’re eligible for free repairs from Apple

If you have an Apple product that needs fixing, or are having any issues with one—but the product’s warranty is already up—there might still be a saving grace for it. Apple has a landing page for its service programs, and it shows details of devices with issues that are eligible for free repair or replacement.

Not every device would be eligible for free repair or replacement, and some offers were announced years back. However, some of the older offers include coverage for up to 5 years after the original sale of the device—so you might still have a chance, depending on the product.

The latest service program was posted on 12 April 2022—for the Apple Watch Series 6‘s blank screen issue. But if you bought a 2016 13-inch Macbook Pro, it could be eligible for repair or replacement 5 years after the first retail sale.

List of devices eligible

You can first look through this list to read more about if your device would be eligible for repair or replacement. The list below includes links to the respective service program pages for Malaysia. You’d just need to sign in with your Apple ID to continue.

Last year, Apple introduced the Apple Self Service Repair program, which lets US customers purchase genuine Apple parts and tools to fix their iPhones themselves. However, it seems like you’d waste a lot of work, money, and time—so it would be a lot easier for you to just hand your devices to Apple.
