AirAsia has kicked off a new promo to celebrate its 21st birthday. For a limited time, they are offering all-in one-way fares from as low as RM21 and free meals for 500 guests daily on selected domestic destinations.
Starting today (28th November) until 4th December 2022, you can book domestic flights within Malaysia for as low as RM21 or within ASEAN for as low as RM64. Some destinations on offer include Langkawi, Penang, Krabi, Terengganu, Singapore and Phu Quoc.
This promo is applicable for the travel period between 1st March 2023 and 30th March 2024. According to the fine print, the all-in fares include airport taxes, MAVCOM fee, fuel surcharge and other applicable fees. Obviously, checked luggage and meals are sold separately.
For long-haul flights, AirAsia X is also having a sale for flights to Perth, Taipei, Tokyo, Seoul, Melbourne, Auckland and more. Travellers can book a one-way economy flight from RM399 or RM1,499 for a premium flatbed.
In addition, AirAsia is also having a special promo for Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. From now until 30th November 2022, you can enjoy all-in one-way fares from RM48 and a free meal for the travel period of 1st December 2022 to 30th March 2024. According to AirAsia, the Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi route (57 times weekly) starts from RM48, while Kuala Lumpur to Kuching route (74 times weekly) starts from RM68. Meanwhile, the Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu route (76 times weekly) is offered for as low as RM88.
Do note that the free meals are only limited to the first 500 daily bookings. The latest promo appears to be a campaign to counter its latest rival, MYAirline, which is also offering flights to Langkawi, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu from RM48 one way.
AirAsia Group Chief Commercial Offer Karen Chan said, “It’s incredibly humbling to be celebrating 21 years of being a market leader in delivering the best value fares to now over 700 million passengers – and counting.”
She added, “Historically only the affluent could afford the right to air travel but AirAsia has revolutionised and democratised the aviation industry, by making travel affordable. Many millions of our guests have been first-time travellers who couldn’t afford to fly before AirAsia took to the skies on 8 December 2001. For the last 21 years, we have connected people to their loved ones and to exciting new places at affordable prices never seen before and we remain committed to providing accessibility to high-value air travel for the masses.
