It’s been since Realme dropped their crowd-favourite midrange lineups in Malaysia, with the Realme 9 series debuting early this year. However, it looks like those looking for a solid budget buy won’t have to much longer, as Realme have announced that they’ll be launching the Realme 10 series early next month.
According to the Realme Malaysia Facebook page, the brand will be having an event on the 8th of December at 3.30pm to launch the Realme 10 series, and it’ll be livestreamed on their social media too. Also, judging from them using the term ‘series’, it seems that more than just the Realme 10 itself will be coming to Malaysia.
The Realme 10 has already been revealed in other regions like the Philippines and Indonesia, and it packs features like a 6.4-inhc, FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, similar to the Realme 9 that arrived in Malaysia in April 2022. It’s powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. There’s also a main 50MP camera on the rear flanked by a 2MP black and white sensor, along with a 16MP selfie camera up front. Keeping the lights on meanwhile is a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
We can also expect to see the Realme 10 Pro and the Realme 10 Pro+, just like how we had the Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro+ in Malaysia back in March 2022. Based on the Realme China website, the Realme 10 Pro appears to be powered by a Snapdragon 695 chip with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It also has a large 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the rear is a 108MP main camera flanked by a 2MP portrait sensor along with a 16MP front facing camera for selfies. You’ll also find a 5,000mAh battery here with 33W fast charging.
As for the Realme 10 Pro+, it’s set to have a curved edge 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It also has a 108MP main camera, but is flanked by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro lens too, along with a 16MP selfie shooter. The Realme 10 Pro+ also has a 5,000mAh battery but gets a faster 67W fast charging speed. Seeing as Realme Malaysia showed off a Realme 10 family member with a curved display, it seems likely that the Realme 10 Pro+ will be featured during the launch event.
That being said, there’s still a chance that the final models to arrive in Malaysia on 8 December might slightly differ from the ones launched in other regions. Do stay tuned as we will update you guys on the Realme 10 series once they reveal more about it.
