Here’s how to watch the 2022 World Cup on your Unifi Plus Box

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is well underway in Qatar now, and it’s a certain that many Malaysian football fans are glued to their TV watching the matches almost every night. However, you don’t need to watch any illegal stream anymore now, as there’s already a number of ways to watch almost every match for free on RTM, or if you’re an Astro subscriber, you’ll be able to watch all 64 matches too.

That being said, Unifi TV users might feel a little aggrieved as they aren’t able to watch any of the action due to them not having the broadcast rights for the matches. Unifi though has now shared a solution where football fans can watch the games via their Unifi Plus Box.

It actually involves a pretty simple workaround. Basically, instead of watching the World Cup directly from Unifi TV, you can instead head over to the home page on your Unifi Plus Box, click on the Google Play Store and then search and install the RTMKlik app. You can then use the RTMKlik app via the Unifi Plus Box to watch the World Cup. This is thanks to RTM being one of the official broadcasters for the World Cup, and you can stream the games at 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p and 1080p quality.

[ UPDATE 26/11/2022 19:15 ]: Unifi has updated its image which now shows 41 instead of 64 matches on RTMKlik via Unifi Plus Box.

It should be pointed out though that despite Unifi’s claims that you can watch all 64 matches on the Unifi Plus Box using the RTMKlik app, that’s actually not true. RTM only has the rights to broadcast 41 of the 2022 World Cup matches, 27 of them live games with a further 13 matches on a delayed broadcast. At the very least, you’ll be pleased to know that the final match is included in the 27 live games that RTM will broadcast.
