AMD to reveal its next gen RDNA 3 graphics cards this 4 November

A month after NVIDIA showed off to the world their latest GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards, it was only a matter of time before AMD would return with their own next generation of GPUs. And return they will, with AMD confirming that they’ll be having the :together we advance_gaming” event on 3 November at 1pm PDT (4 November, 4am Malaysian time).

“AMD executives will provide details on the new high-performance, energy-efficient AMD RDNA 3 architecture that will deliver new levels of performance, efficiency and functionality to gamers and content creators,” – AMD statement

While they didn’t say anything else about what to expect, these RDNA 3 graphics cards will likely be called the Radeon RX 7000 series and will also be their first GPUs to be built on the 5nm process node from TSMC. Coming with a chiplet design, AMD had previously claimed that we can expect a 50% improvement in performance-per-watt compared to the last generation of Radeon GPUs. As usual though, they will likely only reveal the top couple of models though, with the midrange graphics cards set to arrive sometime later.

There’s also already been some reports that the Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards are already out there in the wild. Someone had recently spotted in the database of the South Korean National Radio Research Agency (RRA) a new AMD Radeon graphics card with the model number D70401. This doesn’t seem to correlate with any current AMD Radeon graphics card, which use model numbers D41, D52 and D63, which does hint at it being part of the RDNA 3 cards.

If you want to watch the event and check out AMD’s latest and greatest graphics cards for yourself, you’ll be able to do so at 4am this 4th of November on the AMD YouTube channel.
