The iPhone 14 Pro might be the most popular flagship smartphone to go on sale in Malaysia this month but there’s another flagship smartphone that could be worth your consideration. Samsung Malaysia is currently running a “Super Savings” promo where you can get RM1,800 off for last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 3.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 256GB which previously retailed for RM6,699 is now going for only RM4,899. Meanwhile, the larger 512GB version is going for RM5,299. Coincidentally, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 512GB is priced the same as the iPhone 14 Pro 128GB.
This promo is available on the official Samsung Malaysia online store with limited stocks available. At the time of writing, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 256GB is still available in Phantom Black, Phantom Green and Phantom Silver, while the 512GB variant is only available in Phantom Silver. Samsung Malaysia is also offering a 24-month 0% interest instalment plan and you can pick up the foldable device from RM220.79/month.
While the iPhone 14 Pro is the latest and greatest smartphone from Apple, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is a foldable device that has a 6.2″ 2268×832 pixels resolution cover display and a larger 7.6″ 2208×1768 pixels resolution screen on the inside. It runs on a Snapdragon 888 processor with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device also gets a triple 12MP camera setup at the rear which includes wide, ultra-wide and a telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. Meanwhile, the cover also gets a 10MP selfie shooter while the internal display has an under-display 4MP camera.
Powering the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is a 4,400mAh battery that supports 25W fast-wired charging via USB-C and 10W wireless charging. It also has IPX8-rated water resistance and an “armour aluminium” frame for better durability. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 also supports an optional S Pen but you’ll have to stow the stylus separately.
