The OnePlus 10T is now official and it boasts next-level performance with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and an insane 150W SuperVOOC fast charging technology. If you’re thinking of buying one in Malaysia, the OnePlus 10T will be arriving next month and here’s what you need to know.
According to OnePlus Malaysia, the OnePlus 10T 5G will be available starting from 1st September 2022. For our local market, the device will come with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is their highest spec option. In terms of colours, the device will only be offered in Jade Green. So this is probably bad news for those who are looking for the Moonstone Black version.
The local OnePlus 10T pricing for Malaysia will be revealed on the 18th August 2022 and we are guessing that OnePlus might start accepting pre-orders on the same day. The device will be sold online through its official store on Lazada and Shopee.
In the US, the OnePlus 10T is officially priced at USD 649 (about RM2,890) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and USD 749 (about RM3,336) for the top-spec 16GB RAM + 256GB storage version. As a comparison, the previous OnePlus 8T was launched in Malaysia from RM2,699, while the OnePlus 10 Pro was launched early this year with a retail price tag of RM4,199.
The OnePlus 10T features a 6.7″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen which offers a fluid 120Hz refresh rate. As mentioned earlier, it runs on Qualcomm’s top of the line Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Unlike the OnePlus 10 Pro, there’s no Hasselblad co-developed camera and it settles for a triple-camera setup that consists of a 50MP main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, the front comes with a 16MP camera.
The 10T has dual stereo speakers but it lacks OnePlus’ signature alert slider. Powering the device is a 4,800mAh battery which supports 150W SuperVOOC fast charging. OnePlus claims that you can get 1-67% charge in 10 minutes and a full charge in just 19 minutes.
Besides supporting 5G SA and NSA, the 10T also supports 802.11ax WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC. Out of the box, it runs on OxygenOS 12.1 that’s based on Android 12 but it will be upgraded to OxygenOS 13 sometime later this year. OnePlus is promising to offer 3 major Android OS upgrades as well as four years of security updates for the 10T.
