If you’re in the market to buy a brand new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with an S Pen, Samsung Malaysia is now offering three online exclusive colours that lets you stand out from the rest. Initially released in selected markets, you can now get the Galaxy S22 Ultra in Graphite, Sky Blue and Red, with a dual-tone treatment.
With the new colours, that’s a total of 7 colours to choose from for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. However, take note that it is only for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 256GB storage model that’s officially priced at RM5,499. The 128GB (RRP: RM5,099) and 512GB (RRP: RM5,899) options are still offered in just 4 colours – Burgundy, Phantom Black, Phantom White and Green.
If you’re interested in these new colours, Samsung Malaysia is offering them on pre-order from the 4th until 14th July 2022. They are bundling RM800 eVoucher and instant rebate of RM600 when you trade-in any smart device. This offer is available on the official Samsung Online store on their website. The device is also offered on a 0% interest instalment plan from RM229.13/month.
Unlike the bog standard Galaxy S22 Ultra, these online exclusive colour options get a blacked-out metal frame that covers the top and bottom as well as the sides of the phone. Meanwhile, the S Pen is wrapped in body colour while the clicky end of the stylus is in black.
To recap on the specs, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra features a 6.8″ Quad HD+ AMOLED display that pushes a 120Hz refresh rate. For the Malaysian market, we are getting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 1 processor that can be configured with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
For taking pictures, it gets a quad-camera setup that consists of a 108MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and another 10MP telephoto camera that can push 10x optical zoom. Upfront, the device gets a 40MP front camera for selfies.
Powering the device is a large 5,000mAh battery which supports 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. It also gets stereo speakers and IP68-rated dust and water resistance. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is also seen as a true sucessor to the Galaxy Note series and it comes with a built-in S Pen that can be stowed in its dedicated silo. In terms of updates, Samsung is promising 5 years of security updates and 4 major Android OS upgrades.
