If you’re planning to move or simply just need to haul big, bulky and loose items around the country, there’s now a new option in town for you to choose from. Tumpang is Malaysia’s latest online delivery platform that deals with long distance delivery of large goods across Peninsular Malaysia.
According to Tumpang, they offer the cheapest online delivery service in the market compared to rivals, with up to 70% lower rates currently. Because Tumpang gets multiple quotes from various transport services, you can get lower prices than others; for example, sending a sofa set from Johor to Penang will cost almost RM1,200 with a competing service, but is available at just RM230 onwards on Tumpang.
They say they’re able to offer such low prices as they work by matching their shipments to transporters with unused cargo space headed in the same direction. Users can simply request for a shipment to be done with just a click from their app. Transport options include lorries, trucks, vans and 4×4 vehicles.
Now Tumpang has actually been around for over a year now, having first been soft launched back in May of last year, but are now fully launched after having already delivered over 2,100 items with over 1,000 delivery partners onboard. As part of their official launch, Tumpang is also offering RM12 off delivery fees to all customers with no minimum spend required. The deal will be available from now till the end of the year, and users simply need to use the promo code ‘TUMPANGNOW‘ to redeem it.
For those of you interested, it’s actually pretty simple to use it. First, you’ll need to download the app and launch it. Then, you’ll need to register with Tumpang and log into their app. In the app, tap the ‘+’ icon on the top right, fill in the necessary details such as the origin and destination address and simply wait for a quotation. You’ll then be given a number of quotations of which you can choose the quote that you prefer.
