Hello everyone my name is Duke and welcome back to another episode of Ask Us Anything. In this episode, we will be exploring some examples of tower or bladeless fans, answering your concerns about the Oppo Find X5 Pro and what is inside the biofuel used by Malaysian Airlines for its plane.
Examples of tower or bladeless fans
Both a tower and bladeless fan essential achieve the same objective, so when shopping for these fans, you need to look out for:
- Noise level
- How loud do they sound at the speed you want? This could be important if you are placing the fan somewhere quiet like a study room.
- Speed settings
- How much control over the fan speed do you have?
- Additional features
- For example, a HEPA filter, so it purifies the air as well, the inclusion of remote control, sleep timer durations and oscillation.
Let’s start with Dyson. Its bladeless tower fans come with a HEPA filter, 10 steps for the fan speed, and can oscillate. More expensive models have wireless connectivity. Pricing for the Dyson Bladeless tower fan starts from RM1,499 and can go up to RM3,299.
An alternative example would be the Daewoo F10 Bladeless fan which can be had for RM599 and features an air filter.
As for regular tower fans, you can get something like this Pensonic PTW 111 fan for RM119. But this model does not come with a remote control.
If you want something that’s a little smarter, here is a tower fan from Xiaomi called Mijia Leshow Smart Bladeless Standing Fan that can be controlled via an app on your smartphone.
That said, the best way to find out if the fan meets your criteria is to head on down to your local home appliance store and test out a demo unit.
Answering some concerns about the Oppo Find X5 Pro
When it comes to build quality, the Oppo Find X5 Pro is made out of metal, glass on the front, and ceramic on the back, so it does feel have a premium feel in the hands. It is also hefty, further giving the feel of a solid build.
The Oppo Find X5 Pro also comes with premium services like a free courier send-in service where a representative from Oppo will come and collect the phone from you and return it after the service. If you wish to send the phone in yourself, you can check out Oppo’s website for a list of service centres near you.
Moreover, it also comes with an international warranty, so you can send it to an Oppo service centre in the country you are visiting. Finally, there is a dedicated 24-hour exclusive hotline for priority customer service.
As for the software side of things, Oppo has promised three years of software updates for this phone, which is lower than Samsung’s 4 years of support for the Galaxy S22 series, but more than the 2 years the Oppo Find X3 got. For monthly security updates, Oppo says you will get up to 4 years of security updates, which again is lower than Samsung’s 5 years.

Malaysian Airlines tests Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
Malaysian Airlines used Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for its flight from Malaysia to Singapore on the 5th of June. The national airline company uses SAF produced by Neste, the world’s leading producer of renewable diesel, and SAF from used cooking oil and animal fat waste.
In December of 2021, Malaysian Airlines conducted a test flight from Amsterdam to Malaysia using a plane running on a mixture of jet fuel and SAF comprised of used cooking oil. As for the first passenger flight from Malaysia to Singapore, the plane will be using a 38% mixture of SAF consisting of animal fat waste instead.
