It is the Chinese company’s latest consumer drone that ought to be friendly towards both new drone pilots as well as experienced ones, and brings with it a number of upgrades over the previous DJI Mini 2 drone.

The Fly More Kit meanwhile comes with two Intelligent Flight Battery packs, a two-way charging hub, two pairs of propellers, 12 screws, a shoulder bag and a USB-C data cable. The Plus bundles are the same except they swap out the regular batteries for the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus packs that offer a longer flight time.
DJI Mini 3 Pro specs
Right off the bat, you’ll be pleased to know that the DJI Mini 3 Pro remains just 249g light but has been significantly redesigned compared to its predecessors. It has a more aggressive look compared to the DJI Mini 2, with the camera slightly exposed too. It measures just 145mm long when folded down, expanding to 251mm once unfolded with the propellors out.
The camera it comes with is now a 48MP, f/1.7 shooter with a 1/1.3-inch sensor, providing an 82.1° field of view. This makes it much larger than the 1/2.3-inch sensor on the Mini 2, and ought to offer better low light videography than before. The Mini 3 Pro is capable of filming up to 4K at 60fps, or 4K HDR at 30fps. You can even rotate the gimbal 90 degrees for if you want to film vertical videos or take portrait mode shots with the Mini 3 Pro, a first for the series that would be great for TikTok too. If you prefer, you can even film in flat colours so that you can better edit the colour of your shots in post production. The MasterShots function meanwhile lets you autonomously shoot footage when out on a pre-programmed flight path.
And speaking of flying, the Mini 3 Pro comes with tri-directional obstacle sensing and features Spotlight 2.0, Point of Interest 3.0, APAS 4.0 and ActiveTrack 4.0. It uses OcuSync 3.0 for connectivity too. As for how long you can pilot the DJI Mini 3 Pro, it depends on the battery pack you use. The standard 2,453mAh Intelligent Flight Battery gets you up to 34 minutes of flight time, while the 3,850mAh Intelligent Flight Battery Plus brings that up to 47 minutes. DJI also rates the maximum hover time at 30 and 40 minutes respectively for the Mini 3 Pro, along with a max flight distance of 18km and 25km respectively using the Intelligent Flight Battery and Intelligent Flight Battery Plus.
Notably, one big upgrade you can get with the DJI Mini 3 Pro isn’t even on the drone itself. Instead, it’s the new optional remote controller you can get it with which features a large 5.5-inch display built into the remote controller. The display gets up to 700nits of brightness and means you won’t need to pair your smartphone to your remote controller to see where you’re going anymore. DJI says that they may one day make this remote controller work with other drones in the future, but for now it’s just the Mini 3 Pro supporting it. It does come with a premium though, costing RM800 more compared to the Mini 3 Pro with a regular remote controller.
