5 reasons why the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series should be your next tablet

This post is brought to you by Samsung.

Besides the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung Malaysia has also launched the Galaxy Tab S8 series, its latest flagship tablet series that aims to take productivity and creativity to the next level. If you’re looking for a portable powerhouse, here are 5 reasons why you should add the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series to your shopping list.

More power for your productivity needs

The latest Galaxy Tab S8 series is running on Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip which provides all the power you’ll ever need. It is the fastest chip ever to be fitted on a Samsung Galaxy device boasting 24% faster CPU and 52% faster GPU than the previous model. Depending on the variant you choose, the device packs up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, making this a viable laptop replacement. If you need more storage, it even comes with an expansion slot that supports microSD card up to 1TB.

Power users will appreciate the multi-tasking features including the ability to run multiple apps side by side with the Multi-Window feature. You can sketch your ideas, find references on a web browser and have a video conference call at the same time.

For a more productive laptop-like experience, you can hook up the Galaxy Tab S8 series with its Book Cover Keyboard. To keep you going, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has a large 11,200mAh battery and it also supports 45W Super Fast Charging via USB-C.

Huge 14.6” display for more creative possibilities

The top-of-the-line Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra features an epic 14.6” display making it the largest Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen pushes a high-resolution up to 2960 x 1848 pixels (WQXGA+) resolution and has an ultra-thin bezel of just 6.3mm for a maximum screen-to-body ratio.

For a more professional-looking video call, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra gets 12MP + 12MP (ultra-wide) front cameras which automatically keeps you in focus in 4K clarity. The front camera even has an auto framing feature that will zoom in or out when there are other participants joining the call with you.

The new S Pen lets you visualise your imagination

The all mighty S Pen has been upgraded with an improved algorithm for ultra-low latency. In simple terms, the Galaxy Tab S8 series promises to offer an even more realistic pen to paper experience.

With Samsung’s collaboration with Clip Studio Paint, you can turn your Galaxy smartphone into a digital colour palette, and use the same S Pen for both the Tab S8 device and your phone. Besides jotting down notes and drawing, the S Pen is also an incredible tool for 4K video editing with LumaFusion that’s coming to the Galaxy Tab S8 series.

PC-level convenience with Samsung DeX

To get some serious work done, the Galaxy Tab S8 series can be transformed into a desktop computer experience with Samsung DeX. All you’ll need is to hook up your monitor, keyboard and mouse to the tablet and you’re ready to go. Similar to a desktop computer environment, you can open multiple apps including Microsoft Office, perform drag and drop functions and even right clicking on your work files.

With a compatible Miracast-enabled TV or monitor, you can even run DeX wirelessly on the big screen. If you don’t have an extra screen, you can also run DeX mode standalone when it’s connected to the Book Cover Keyboard.
