If you’re looking for a portable projector, Samsung’s latest Freestyle projector is coming to Malaysia very soon. Samsung Malaysia has started accepting registration of interest and pre-orders could start in the coming weeks.

Announced during CES 2022, The Freestyle is a compact projector weighing 0.83kg that can swivel 180-degrees with its cradle stand. It can project a display between 30 to 100-inches at 1080p but with a modest brightness of 550 lumens. For a smart TV experience, Samsung has preloaded the Freestyle with a Tizen operating system which allows you to launch streaming apps including Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and Apple TV directly.

It also supports casting from your Android and iOS mobile device. For a seamless experience, you can even tap your Samsung Galaxy device on the Freestyle to initiate screen mirroring instantly.

Also built-in is a 360-degree 5W speaker and it also supports Bixby and Alexa voice commands with its built-in mic. The Freestyle also features micro HDMI input and a USB-C port which is used for power. You can connect it to a USB-C PD Power adapter or use it remotely by connecting it to a compatible power bank.

For ease of setup, there’s auto-leveling and you can make further adjustments to the screen’s scaling without moving the physical projector. If you don’t have a white wall, Samsung also offers a Smart Calibration feature to optimise the display based on the wall colour.

At the moment, there’s no Malaysian pricing for The Freestyle just yet but in the US, it is going for USD 899.99 (about RM3,767).

If you’re interested and want to be the first to know, you can register your interest here. If you register with Samsung Malaysia, you can get exclusive free gifts and RM998 eVoucher when you pre-order. The registration of interest is available starting today until 6th March 2022.
