Besides the Galaxy Tab A8, Samsung Malaysia has also announced the Galaxy A03 for the local market. This is their new entry-level smartphone in the Samsung Galaxy A series that’s priced from RM469.
Samsung Galaxy A03 Malaysia Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A03 is offered in two variants in Malaysia and here’s the official pricing:
- 3GB RAM + 32GB storage – RM469
- 4GB RAM + 64GB storage – RM549
The device is offered in 3 colours – Blue, Black, and Red. If you’re interested, the Galaxy A03 is now available on the Samsung official online store as well as Lazada and Shopee.
Samsung Galaxy A03 Malaysia Specs
The Samsung Galaxy A03 comes with a 6.5″ HD+ (1600×720 pixels) LCD display and it runs on an octa-core processor which is believed to be a Unisoc T606. The device is offered with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card.
In the camera department, the rear of the Galaxy A03 comes with a 48MP f/1.8 main camera and a secondary 2MP f/2.4 shooter for depth effects. Meanwhile, the front gets a 5MP selfie camera that sits on a tiny notch on the top of the screen.
Powering the phone is a large 5,000mAh battery and despite being a new budget phone for 2022, it still charges via a micro USB port. Interestingly, the Galaxy A03s which was introduced earlier came with a USB-C port that supports 15W fast charging.
There are no stereo speakers but it still comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of connectivity, it supports 5GHz 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. This is a dual-SIM phone that supports 4G LTE connectivity.
Overall, the new phone is basically a Galaxy A03s with a different processor and camera setup. Although it supports faster 5GHz WiFi and a higher-resolution 48MP main camera, the rest of the hardware remains an entry-level affair.
