Redmi Watch 2 Lite available in Malaysia on 12.12 for RM199

Xiaomi just announced that the Redmi Watch 2 Lite will be available in Malaysia starting December 12th.

The Redmi Watch 2 Lite seems to be an upgraded Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite, while still keeping the price competitive. The Mi Watch Lite had the exact same pricing model, retailing at RM249 with a RM199 early bird price. Compared to the Mi Watch Lite, the Watch 2 Lite has better battery life and a bigger screen.

Design-wise the Watch 2 Lite looks as sleek as ever, reminiscent of the Apple Watch. With its no-frills minimalistic look, the Watch 2 Lite has a rounded rectangular shape and comes in three colour options: blue, black, and white.

Specs and features

The watch features a square TFT LCD 1.55-inch display with a 320 × 320 resolution and a button on the side of the device. For fitness, you can choose from 100+ exercise modes including water sports, combat sports and more. It can auto-detect walks and runs and has a GPS module, something most modern smartwatches have now.

You can view more health information through the Xiaomi Wear app and it’s compatible with other sports apps like Strava.

Regarding health-tracking features, the Watch 2 Lite offers SpO2 detection, heart rate tracking and sleep, and stress monitoring. In terms of battery life, this watch offers up to 10 days of battery life and charging via a magnetic dock. It also comes with 5ATM water resistance, which means that that it is resistant to up to 50 metres in depth for 10 minutes, so you can wear it while you swim.

Starting on December 12th, the retail price will be RM249 and it will be available via official Xiaomi stores and authorised retailers. There will also be a special early bird price of RM199 on December 12th for only one day, exclusively on Lazada.
