How to get Netflix, HBO Go, and Disney+ on your Astro box!

Let’s face it. Having multiple bills to pay from different services can be a pain. Worrying about the due date for each bill could be the cause of many headaches. That’s why Astro provided a way to have all of your entertainment services, all under one single billing.

Netflix together with HBO Go and Disney+Hotstar can be accessed with Astro. I’ll show you how to add all of these streaming services to your Astro subscription so that you can enjoy watching everything in one place, while having a simple consolidated bill.

Getting Netflix, HBO Go, and Disney+ Hotstar on your Astro account is simple.

The way Astro provides content is through ‘packs’, which include channels, services and apps. These packs are highly customisable and you can choose different add-ons to make the pack more suitable to your own needs.

To get Netflix, you can choose the Entertainment Plus which costs RM129.99 per month, or you can pick the all-inclusive Platinum Pack that provides all the services mentioned before as well as 145+ channels.

But what if you already pay for Netflix and you just want to consolidate your bills? If you currently have a Netflix subscription, you can consolidate your bills by cancelling your subscription and subscribing again through Channel 741 with the same email. Once that you’re done, all of your preferences and watching history on your account will be brought over.

Astro is also offering HBO Go and Disney+ Hotstar in the Movies pack. If you want Netflix, HBO Go and Disney+ Hotstar with Astro, you can opt for Premium Pack 3 at RM154.99 per month. HBO Go normally costs RM34.90/month standalone, and Disney+ Hotstar RM54.90 for 3 months. Hence the Premium Pack 3 is a great deal if you’re keen on getting these services.

How to save money with Astro bundles

With Astro, you can save money by choosing discounted bundles. This can be done the same way you choose a pack for your subscription.

To select a pack, just go to the Astro website, head to Products & Services, and choose ‘All-new Astro packs’. On this page, you can select your pack of choice. You can also customise the pack to include the type of content that you want. For example, you can choose between free Indonesian, Indian, or Chinese channels.

The new Astro bundles are actually cheaper than before and provide more value as well. To illustrate, let’s do some math.

Astro’s old pack, Super Pack Lite Movies, costs RM127.20 per month. A standalone Netflix subscription costs RM45, and a standalone Astro 100Mbps Broadband subscription costs RM136.74. That’s a total of RM308.94 per month to get 105+ channels, Disney+ Hotstar, and HBO Go.

The new Premium Pack 3 with 100Mbps Broadband bundles costs RM270.29, comes with 120+ channels and includes Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, and HBO Go. That’s a whole RM38.65 per month cheaper than before while providing even more content!

Stream all of your content in one place with Astro!

Netflix is now available on the Ultra Box, meaning you can stream the hottest Netflix content like Squid Game or Hellbound right on your Astro Box. They are working on bringing Netflix to the Ulti Box soon as well.

To find out more, you can go to Astro’s official website and view the new packages available.
