Foodpanda just announced that their paid membership ‘Pandapro’ is getting one more perk. Previously, the membership offered free deliveries and discounts on delivered food. Now, members will get a 25% flat discount on their dine-in bill from select partner restaurants as well.
They claim to have over 700 partnered locations, including The Majapahit Restaurant & Bar, Pier 12, Powerplant, Jaan @ Four Points By Sheraton, and The Spread @ The Gardens Hotel. Foodpanda also partnered with chains like Chatime, Dave’s Deli, Pasta Panas, with plans to expand the array of options soon.
As travel and dining restrictions are lifting, Foodpanda aims to support local vendors and boost the restaurant economy. Foodpanda Malaysia’s Commercial Director Jay Ar Juan said this at the launch event: “Ultimately, our goal is to do what we can to help build the economy again, especially now that Malaysians are able to step out of their homes and get back to their routine of dining in, we want to ensure they have the best experience and there’s no better way of doing that, than with exclusive offers. We believe that it is important for us to stand united as Malaysians to help each other out during such crucial times.”
How does the dine-in feature work? On the main page of the Foodpanda app, you can select ‘Dine-in’ to view the selection of partnered restaurants near you. When you’re at the location, just select the restaurant in the app and scan the QR code presented by the restaurant staff. Once confirmed, you will get a confirmation message and you can show the screen to the restaurant staff to redeem the discount. This should be valid for all days and for the whole menu.
How much does Pandapro cost?
Normally, Pandapro is priced at RM29.90 per month, but they have been at a “limited time” offer of RM14.90 per month for quite a while now, with no plan of ending that offer anytime soon. They also offer cheaper long term plans, with RM81 for six months (RM13.50 per month), and RM142.8 for the yearly plan (RM11.90 per month).
As part of an actual “limited time” offer that ends on the 15th of December 2021, you can get a Pandapro subscription for RM75 for the 6 month plan (RM12.50 per month), and RM94.80 for the yearly plan (RM7.90 per month). This plan would be the cheapest way to get Pandapro in the long run.
Apart from the 25% discount on dine-in bills, you will also get the usual perks from Pandapro such as 12 free deliveries per month on orders above RM25, exclusive discounts of 15% and above, and an extra 5% discount on pickup orders. You will also get a pair of 20% discount vouchers, capped at RM10, for Pandamart orders above RM45.
