The Motorola Edge 20 Pro isn’t available for purchase yet and Motorola says it is coming soon with an “expected” starting price of RM2,499.
Motorola Edge 20 Pro Specs
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro is the biggest highlight of the duo as it features a 6.7″ Full HD+ (2400×1080) OLED display that offers a high 144Hz refresh rate and up to 576Hz touch latency. The screen also boasts 10-bit colour and DCI-P3 colour gamut.
Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G, which is the same processor found on the Poco F3. The device comes with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and a choice of either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
In terms of camera, the Edge 20 Pro gets a triple-camera setup that consists of a 108MP f/1.9 main camera which uses a 1/1.52″ sensor, a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8MP periscope telephoto camera with 5X optical zoom. For selfies, the punch-hole houses a 32MP front camera.
Powering the device is a large 4,500mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging via USB-C. According to Motorola, the TurboPower 30 charger can push 9 hours of battery life with just 10 minutes of charging. Besides 5G connectivity, it also supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
Motorola e40 Specs
The Motorola e40 is a budget 4G phone offering that comes with a 6.53″ HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device runs on a Unisoc T606 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. You can expand the storage further up to 1TB extra via a microSD card.
The device gets a triple-camera setup that consists of a 48MP main camera and two 2MP shooters for depth and macro. It also gets an 8MP selfie camera that sits in a punch-hole. The e40 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging via USB-C.
For the price, there are other value buy options like the Poco M3, Redmi 9T or even the Poco M3 Pro 5G. However, Motorola’s key advantage is its near-stock Android 11 experience that’s free from bloatware. The devices also come with Motorola’s My UX which provides Moto-specific apps and customisation including gestures for quick capture, screenshot and pick up to silence.
