If you’re a frequent Starbucks customer, you probably would have used their Starbucks app to make payments and to collect Starbucks Rewards. Since the last revamp, the app was riddled with bugs which left a lot of users fuming as they couldn’t log in to their Starbucks account. Starbucks Malaysia has finally released an update that solves all of these major issues.

If you haven’t received a notification yet, you can update to the latest version via the Apple App Store (version 3.2.1) and the Google Play Store (version 3.2). The updated Starbucks app has fixed the issue where users get logged out when they exit the app. Now when you tick “Keep me logged in”, you will remain logged in, saving you the hassle of entering your username and password again.

Starbucks Malaysia app’s Reset Password feature finally works

Another major annoyance with the Starbucks app was the reset password feature. Previously, it was almost impossible to reset your password on your phone and you’ll have to do it via a desktop browser. This problem has been fixed and you can finally reset your password via the app after clicking the link from the password recovery email.

Because of these glaring bugs, the Starbucks Malaysia app is probably one of the most hated coffee apps in the country. You wouldn’t want to mess with people who have not gotten their caffeine fix. On Google PlayStore, the app has an average rating of 2.6 out of 5 stars, with most entries giving just 1 star. Meanwhile, on the Apple App Store, the app has a rating of just 1.4 out of 5 stars. As a comparison, the Zus coffee app has a rating of 3.5 stars on the Google Play Store and 3.6 stars on the Apple App Store.
