At the moment, Apple is listing the new Watch Series 7 as available in Malaysia later this year. You can check out the full options here and there’s also an Apple Watch Studio where you can mix and match different case styles, colours and band options.
In case you’re wondering, the Apple Watch Series 7 is still compatible with previous straps designed for the first-generation Apple Watch. This means you can still reuse your previous straps from the older models. The current 41mm size is compatible with the 40mm/38mm strap while the 45mm size is compatible with the previous 44mm/42mm straps.
The Series 7 offers 20% more screen area than the previous model as Apple has reduced the screen bezel by 40%. The brightness for its always-on display has been improved and it is up to 70% brighter than before. The Series 7 is also Apple’s most durable watch yet as it uses “crack-resistant front crystal” which makes it more crack-resistant without compromising on optical clarity. This glass is only offered for its premium stainless steel and titanium versions.
Using the new USB-C based Apple Watch charger, charging times have been improved as a quick 8-minute charge can provide up to 8 hours of battery life for sleep tracking. Users can charge the watch from 0-80% in just 45 minutes.
