Nintendo is holding a special 20-minute Direct showcase just for Animal Crossing: New Horizons on October 15th, as announced by the official Animal Crossing Twitter account. They will be unveiling information about a new update coming later in November, bringing back a beloved bird from the previous games.

What to expect

Animal Crossing fans were ecstatic to see that Brewster and The Roost are getting added to New Horizons.

A tweet posted on September 24th showed a player going into The Roost café in the museum, which would be a new location in the game. In the previous Animal Crossing games, a blue bird named Brewster runs the café, and many people have been begging for him to be added to New Horizons. Fun fact: the Direct will actually be happening on Brewster’s birthday, October 15th!

Brewster also has an interest in ‘gyroids’, which are furniture items (and sometimes NPCs) that often look like little cacti. Since the Direct is 20-minutes long, many are speculating that gyroids would be added into the game as well.

There was also a tweet announcing that the new Series 5 amiibo cards are coming soon, but we are not sure if this information will be mentioned in the upcoming Direct.

Where to watch the Animal Crossing Direct

You can watch the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct on October 15th, 10:00pm Malaysian Time. The showcase will be live-streamed on Nintendo’s official YouTube page and Twitch page.
