Here’s how you can watch Astro without a satellite dish

This post is brought to you by Astro.

Does your apartment have issues when installing satellite dishes? Have you ever wanted entertainment with an easier installation process?

This is the Astro Ultra Plug & Play Box and it was made to solve this very issue.

Astro Ultra Plug & Play Box

Okay, so what exactly is the Astro Ultra Plug & Play Box? It’s a new device that gives you all the functionality of a regular Astro box, but without the need for a satellite, making it perfect if you live in a condo. Never again will the rain fade disrupt the signal, ruining your viewing experience.

It works by streaming the content via the internet, giving you the same live content you would get with a normal Astro box, with a more convenient self-installation process.

I’ll be telling you about the features I enjoy and my overall thoughts on it.

Easy self-installation process

Once you sign up and get the packages, just follow the steps on the welcome card, scan the QR code, and follow the installation guide! There’s no need to call over a technician to set up your Astro anymore. Just self-install. Easy!

Live Pause and Play from start

One of the cool features I’ve noticed is Live Pause.

You’re watching the game and something urgent comes up, just hit ‘pause’ and get back to watching it when you’re ready!

This technology also allows you to play from the start, so if you stumble upon a cool movie right as it’s about to end, just click ‘Play from start’ and you can enjoy it from the beginning.

Wide variety of content

I really appreciate the variety that you get from the packages. It has enough for the whole family. The children can watch their cartoons, Mom can watch her K-dramas, and Dad can watch his sports in 4K resolution, for that sweet crystal-clear picture quality.

Everything can be viewed On Demand too! Up to 65,000 videos are available on demand to watch anytime at your convenience.

There are many different packs to choose from depending on what channels you want. The one I have is called Super Pack Lite Movies. It has a promo price of RM96 a month and more than 80 channels including HBO GO and Disney+ Hotstar so you can enjoy the latest Disney, Pixer, Marvel and Star Wars content as soon as it drops.

How to sign up for an Astro Ultra Plug & Play Box

Overall, I think if you’re planning to get Astro, this is definitely the way to go, especially if you live in an apartment or condominium.

If you want to sign up for one, you can do it online at Astro.com.my/ultra, or text “Get PNP” to 03-9543 3838 on WhatsApp.
