For under RM2,000, the Xiaomi 11T smartphone makes ‘cinemagic’ for creators

Xiaomi just launched their newest premium flagship, the Xiaomi 11T series. The base model, Xiaomi 11T, is a value for money powerhouse when it comes to content creation that can be bought for less than RM2,000.

Use the triple camera system to make cinemagic

The camera system on the Xiaomi 11T has magic in both the hardware and the software. Let’s talk about the hardware first.

It is equipped with a triple camera setup consisting of a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP telemacro camera.

The main camera has a wide-angle f/1.75 lens and can be used by creators to capture scenes with lots of detail. The ‘f’ refers to the aperture of the camera and suggests that it can see more light in dim situations.

With the ultra-wide camera’s 120 degree field of view (FOV), you can shoot vast landscapes and not worry about missing out any elements. To compare, a regular lens would have around a 70 degree FOV, so the ultra-wide lens captures more area, similar to a GoPro.

If you want to capture something close up, the telemacro camera can help you with its f/2.4 lens and autofocus distance as low as 3 centimetres.

On the front of the device, you can find a 16MP selfie camera which creators can use for crisp and clear vlog-style videos.

In terms of resolution, the rear camera system can capture 4K at 30fps and 1080p 1920×1080 at 60fps. There is also support for HDR video and timelapses.

If you want to record slow-motion footage, The 11T can shoot 1080p at 120fps and 720p at 960fps. That’s almost a frame every millisecond!

One-click AI cinema modes enhance your shots

Powering the different cameras is Xiaomi’s AI image processing software.

The AI not only helps with photo processing, but it also provides one-click AI cinema modes that allow you to make cinematic shots that are both unique and professional looking.

The Time Freeze mode is an effect that can stop time for one part of the shot, which can be used in so many creative ways.

There is also Audio Zoom that intelligently brings the faintest sounds back to life by focusing the audio recording onto the subject selected on screen.

Other modes like Magic Zoom, which creates a dolly zoom effect, can make the videos you shoot on your phone even more special.

Crystal clear, colour-rich 120Hz AMOLED display that’s a pleasure to view and create content with

To view the great shots you take, the Xiaomi 11T has a FHD+ 6.67’’ flat AMOLED display that is more than enough for any mobile creator. The display is equipped with TrueColor, has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, and delivers over 1 billion colours with HDR10+.

The refresh rate is 120Hz, but the Xiaomi 11T has a touch sampling rate of 480Hz providing buttery smooth response times.

Massive 5,000mAh battery with 67W super fast charging means less time charging and more time creating content

Powering the device is a massive 5,000mAh battery that can charge up to 100% in just 36 minutes with 67W wired turbo charging.

Its MediaTek Dimensity 1200-Ultra processor also helps with the battery life as it is both powerful and power-efficient.

The Xiaomi 11T comes in both 128GB and 256GB versions, both mated with 8GB of RAM.
