If you’re on iOS 15 or the new iPhone 13, you might have noticed some bugs on Instagram. The good news is that Instagram found and fixed these issues very quickly, so they should be resolved with the updated version 206.1.
Before the update, iOS 15 users reported that their audio on Instagram did not work when Silent Mode was enabled. Normally, switching the phone to Silent Mode mutes the audio until the volume gets adjusted, but the bug made it so audio did not play at all, even after adjusting the volume. It even extended into the Feed, making all the videos have no volume. Now, on version 206.1, Instagram audio on silent mode works as normal.
The other bug Instagram fixed only happened on the iPhone 13. As the new iPhone has a different notch design, Instagram placed the top bar incorrectly in the previous version of the app. Fortunately, this issue is now fixed too.
For some reason, Instagram does not like to include the specificities of their bug fixes in their release notes, but this version does indeed fix the issues.
