AirAsia Cuti-Cuti Malaysia Unlimited Pass holders can redeem one free return flight until June 2022

Good news for AirAsia Cuti-cuti Malaysia Unlimited Pass holders! AirAsia has announced a further extension where you can redeem free flights to Langkawi and any domestic destinations within Malaysia until 30th June 2022. However, pass holders can only redeem one return flight (two-way) for free.

The RM399 pass was introduced last year and it enables pass holders to enjoy unlimited free flights within Malaysia until 31st March 2021. Due to the COVID-19 situation, AirAsia had extended the pass until 30th June 2021.

The latest extension until next year is certainly welcomed as most travellers can’t utilise the pass due to the ongoing travel restrictions. Since Malaysia is now gradually restarting tourism activities via domestic travel bubbles, unlimited pass holders can take this opportunity to travel to Langkawi or potentially to more states when 90% of adults are fully vaccinated.

AirAsia Super App CEO Amanda Woo said “We received an overwhelming response when we introduced the AirAsia Unlimited Pass (cuti cuti Malaysia) last year. Many guests were able to take advantage of the pass where they were able to travel and enjoy cuti cuti Malaysia within our domestic network across 16 destinations. Unfortunately, some were not able to maximise the usage of the pass due to travel restrictions.”

She added “As a token of our appreciation we would like to reward all cuti-cuti Malaysia Unlimited Pass holders with a free flight to any domestic destination. We hope they will use this opportunity to go for their long overdue holiday in Langkawi or for any essential travel to domestic destinations. This is another initiative crafted to stimulate and revitalise Malaysia’s domestic tourism in support of the government’s effort, especially with regards to the Langkawi travel bubble and other destinations that will follow soon.”

With this travel extension, pass holders can book their flights for the travel period of 11th October 2021 until 30th June 2022. However, the booking period is from 27th September until 27th December 2021. Only AK flights are allowed for flight redemption and bookings must be made at least 14 days in advance.

Unlimited Pass holders will be informed directly via email and they can learn more from the airasia.com/unlimited page. Take note that the Cuti-cuti Malaysia unlimited pass does not include checked luggage, meals, seat selection, airport charges, or applicable taxes.

As part of the current SOP, only fully vaccinated travellers are permitted to fly and passengers are also required to be tested negative for COVID-19 before boarding. The unlimited pass extension is not applicable for the RM599 ASEAN Unlimited pass and the RM499 AirAsia X Unlimited Pass.

Editor’s Note: Post has been updated to reflect that the free redemption is for one return trip only.
