MySejahtera: Digital vaccine certificate will only turn yellow when you’re counted as fully vaccinated

The digital certificate for COVID-19 vaccination on the MySejahtera app has been updated to make it easier to verify if a person is really fully vaccinated. Previously, the certificate will turn yellow immediately after receiving the second dose but now the colour will only change once you’ve fulfilled the criteria to be counted as “full vaccinated”.

According to the special committee on ensuring access to COVID-19 vaccine supply (JKJAV), the vaccine certificate will remain white after receiving the second dose. If you’ve gotten a two-dose vaccine such as Pfizer, Sinovac or AstraZeneca, the vaccine certificate will turn yellow 14 days after receiving the second dose. For those who have gotten a single-dose vaccine such as CanSino or Johnson & Johnson, it will turn yellow 28 days after getting the vaccine jab. If a person has not fulfilled the “fully vaccinated” waiting period, they will be considered “partially vaccinated.”

In case you missed it, the MySejahtera app was recently updated to make it easier for premises to check individuals for SOP compliance. The check-in page now displays your current health risk as well as the COVID-19 vaccination status.

Although more sectors have reopened in Phase 2 states under the National Recovery Plan, several businesses and activities are limited only to individuals who are fully vaccinated. Sunway Malls has recently announced that they will implement a “fully vaccinated only entry” rule for its malls located in the Klang Valley starting tomorrow, 15th September.

If you’re going for your vaccination, you are reminded to check the vaccine certificate before leaving the vaccination centre. The certificate will include the name of the vaccine, date and time, location as well as batch number. If there are any errors or mistakes, you can contact the hotline at 1-800-888-828. Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin is aware of individuals that have not been issued their digital vaccine certificates and he has instructed the MySejahtera team to sort out these issues by this week.
