MySejahtera team told to fix digital vaccine certificate issue within a week

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin is aware of individuals that have yet to receive their digital vaccine certificate after completing their COVID-19 vaccination. He has issued a directive to the MySejahtera team to resolve all issues related to the app immediately including the problem of no digital certificate within a week.

For individuals that don’t have a digital certificate may use their physical vaccination card for the time being as proof of completed vaccination. He added that individuals who have been vaccinated under Selangor’s state government vaccination programme (Selvax) could use the digital certificate in the Selangkah app until they obtain the certificate in MySejahtera.

All individuals who are going for their vaccination are urged to check their MySejahtera app before leaving the vaccination centre. If you’ve completed your two-dose vaccination, the vaccination page should turn yellow as shown above.

Individuals who are still having issues including errors on the vaccine certificate, are urged to call the hotline at 1-800-888-828.

MySejahtera has recently pushed a new update that displays your COVID-19 risk and vaccination status on the check-in page. This makes it easier for premises to enforce SOP compliance as certain business sectors are only permitted to fully vaccinated individuals.

Take note that individuals who have received a two-dose vaccine such as Pfizer, Sinovac and AstraZeneca, they are only counted as fully vaccinated 14 days after getting the second shot. For people who have received a single-dose vaccine such as CanSino and Johnson & Johnson, they are considered as fully vaccinated 28 days after getting the injection.

As of 9th September, Malaysia has administered over 37.7 million doses. More than half of the population have been fully vaccinated with either a single or two-dose vaccine. In Klang Valley, almost 100% of the adult population has been fully vaccinated.
