Want to run a 21km marathon? Garmin is offering a training program through their app

Garmin Malaysia just launched the Garmin Run Club 21 KM training program, a virtual coaching experience with activities designed by Garmin Certified Coaches. Registration starts from August 23rd, ends on August 31st, and will cost RM50.

The training period will take place from September 1st to November 20th, giving you 12 weeks of unique sessions that will prepare you for a half marathon. The training sessions will take place in the Garmin Sports app with Coach Faiz and Coach Akashah guiding you through it all regardless of your skill level.

“I believe that everyone can achieve their running goals. As much as a beginner can compete in a full 21 KM marathon, as will experienced runners require the consistent reminder to train and prepare themselves physically and mentally to perform,” said Coach Akashah. He continued, “Join me and Coach Faiz for a step-by-step program to unleash your inner potential and all-in-all for good fun.”

Whether you’re just interested in taking your runs to the next level, or if you’re preparing for the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon Virtual Run 2021, the training program can help you meet your goals. The Marathon Virtual Run is happening from November 20th to November 28th 2021.

Do note that in order to input runs and workouts into the app automatically, you need to have a Garmin wearable device. If not, you would have to input the data manually which would not be very convenient.

With an attendance rate of 80%, you will receive an exclusive GRC jersey T-shirt and a RM50 Garmin discount voucher at the end of the training.

You can use the coupon code “grc” at checkout to remove the shipping fees. After the payment process, you will get a link to join a private Facebook group through email. This group will give you all the information you need regarding the program and the coaches will assist you on how to use the Garmin Sports app.

The training programs will be based on your heart rate zone, and the head coaches will be monitoring your training and providing feedback for your next workout. Every week, they will provide a virtual strength and conditioning session with pacers.

To register for the training program, just head over to this website and follow the steps provided for a quick sign-up. You can also download the Garmin Sports app on the Apple App Store or the Google Play store for free to learn more about the courses provided.
