Realme has finally launched the much anticipated Realme Book thin-and-light laptop. Sporting an extremely thin chassis with a 3:2 aspect ratio screen, it’s set to go against the likes of the Huawei MateBook D14 and Honor MagicBook 14.

Realme Book specs

As mentioned the big highlight feature seems to be its display. Sporting a 14-inch, 3:2 IPS screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels, it has a 90% screen-to-body ratio as well as a peak brightness of 400nits. It also covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut for those looking to do any colour critical work on the Realme Book. While there won’t be a touchscreen option, it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass for extra scratch resistance.

Under the hood, you’ll find 11th Gen Intel Core processors, with either the Core i3-1115G4 or the Core i5-1135G7. The Core i3 variant has 8GB of RAM, up to 512GB SSD storage, Intel UHD graphics and support for WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. There’s also 1x USB-A 3.1 port, 2x USB-C 3.2 port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Meanwhile, the Core i5 model gets some modest upgrades, as you can get up to 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD storage, Intel Xe graphics, support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 as well as Thunderbolt 4 in one of the USB-C ports.

Other features of note include a 54Whr battery which Realme claims will last you up to 11 hours of use, as well as support for 65W Super-Fast Charge technology for a 50% charge in just 30 minutes. The keyboard on the Realme Book has a 3-mode backlight, while the touchpad is also extra large. There’s also stereo speakers, a fingerprint sensor and is ready for Windows 11 when it launches. The Realme Book has support for PC Connect too, which like Huawei Share lets you link and mirror your smartphone onto the Realme Book.

The Realme Book is also known as the Realme Book Slim in some regions, and looking at the chassis there’s no surprise why. It’s just 14.9mm at its thickest, and weighs just 1.38kg. The body itself is made of CNC and sandblasted aluminum for an all-metallic build. The Realme Book will come in two different colours: Real Grey and Real Blue.

Pricing and availability

So far, it appears as though the Realme Book has officially available in just India and China for now. However, it seems fairly likely that their new laptop will be available in other regions as well. As for Malaysia, it will be coming to our shores very soon as Realme Malaysia are already teasing it on their Facebook page, with the official launch for it set for the 20th of August.

The Realme Book will come in four different configurations, with varying RAM and storage options, though it remains to be seen which ones will be available here following its launch. They are:

Realme Book, Intel Core i3-1115G4, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD— USD 749 (~RM3,176.51)

Realme Book, Intel Core i3-1115G4, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD— USD 799 (~RM3,388.56)

Realme Book, Intel Core i5-1135G7, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD— USD 969 (~RM4,109.53)

Realme Book, Intel Core i5-1135G7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD— USD 999 (~RM4,236.76)
