Video: The closest look at what the iPhone 13 Pro Max might look like

The iPhone 13 series will, in all probability, look very similar to the current generation iPhone 12 from the outside. A smaller notch has been rumoured, although yes—we’ll probably still have a notch. If you can’t wait till the official launch (expected later this year), Unbox Therapy has just uploaded a video showing off a mockup of the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

It actually looks really, really realistic. Lew says that it’s the most realistic mockup he’s ever received, and it’s hard not to agree. Have a look:

In case you’re wondering, the unit in the video above doesn’t actually work. It’s probably been constructed based on leaked schematics—which are commonly distributed to accessory manufacturers (like case makers) to help prepare ahead of the big launch day. As such, leaksters usually fill in some blanks—colours, etc—to come up with a dummy that should look nearly identical to the actual, official product.

In any case, it looks like the iPhone 13 Pro Max above comes with bigger camera lenses compared to its predecessor. Previously, Ming-Chi Kuo (a supply chain analyst with a history of accurate Apple device predictions) mentioned that the Pro series for the next iPhone will have an improved ultra-wide camera. Perhaps the larger camera lenses are reflective of that.

Also, the video seemingly confirms that we’ll have a slightly smaller notch on the iPhone 13 series. As previously rumoured, the speaker might be moved to the top bezel of the phone, which means that the notch can now be reduced in size. It’s not exactly drastic, but you can tell the difference when the devices are side by side.

Other expected specs include a 120Hz refresh rate on the displays of the iPhone 13, while there are still users hoping for Touch ID to make a return to the iPhone series. However, with iOS 14.5 adding Face ID support for those wearing face masks, this looks to be a less pressing need at this point.

So, what do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
