Malaysia has recorded 3,418 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 415,012. There are 12 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,533.
The Ministry of Health has reported 2,698 new recoveries and a total of 383,140 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 92.32% while the mortality rate remains at 0.37%.
There are currently 30,339 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 345 are in ICU while 175 require respiratory support.
Out of the 3,418 new cases today, 10 are imported while 3,408 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 1,200 new cases, followed by Sarawak with 587 cases, Kelantan with 400 cases and Johor with 213 cases.
