Hardware Specs
The Vision S is Huawei’s smart display offering that runs on HarmonyOS. You can’t really call it a TV as it doesn’t come with a TV-tuner. It relies mostly on digital content but you can plug in other devices with its 3x HDMI 2.0 or 1x AV-in ports. It supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi and it is powered by a HongHu chip with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.
The Vision S uses Direct LED backlight illumination which offers 350 nits of brightness, 5000:1 contrast ratio and 92% DCI-P3 colour gamut. Audio is delivered via 4 built-in speakers that consist of a pair of 10W full frequency speakers and a pair of 10W tweeters.
One of its key features is video calls via Huawei MeeTime. Using the 13MP magnetic camera, you can make 1080p video calls on the big screen with other Huawei MeeTime users. Since this is a smart display, you can also project your smartphone content on the big screen by tapping a compatible Huawei device on the NFC-enabled remote control.
In terms of content, you can download apps on the Vision S via Huawei’s AppGallery. Some local applications are included such as Doc2Us, Kaodim and Kuali. For video content, it also supports streaming from Huawei Video, BBC, AstroGo and Huawei Film & TV.
