COVID-19: 2,717 new cases today. Selangor, Sarawak and Kelantan record over 500 cases each

Malaysia has recorded 2,717 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 390,252. There are 11 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,426.

The Ministry of Health has reported 2,292 new recoveries and a total of 365,900 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 93.76% while the mortality rate remains at 0.37%.

There are currently 22,926 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 272 are in ICU while 124 require respiratory support.

Out of the 2,717 new cases today, 26 are imported while 272 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 768 cases, followed by Sarawak with 570 cases, Kelantan with 518 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 240 cases.
