Malaysia has recorded 2,847 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 387,535. There are 8 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,415.
The Ministry of Health has reported 2,341 new recoveries and a total of 363,608 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 93.83% while the mortality rate is now 0.37%.
There are currently 22,512 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 260 are in ICU while 125 require respiratory support.
Out of the 2,847 new cases today, 4 are imported while 2,843 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 748 cases, followed by Sarawak with 717 cases, Kelantan with 476 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 302 cases.
