The Huawei P50 series is expected to launch sometime during the middle of this year, and one of the biggest things we’re looking forward to seeing is HarmonyOS out of the box—at long, long last. Software aside, however, the P50 is set to arrive with a very loud rear design, featuring what might just be the biggest dual-camera bump… ever. This was even “confirmed” by more leaks, although Huawei has remain tight-lipped on their upcoming flagship device thus far.
However, the folks over at Gsmarena have shared a couple of supposed prototype photos which reveal a very different design for the P50 that we’ve seen up to this point. The images were sent by an “anonymous tipster”, who explained that the images depict a phone that is a part of the P50 series—although they did not confirm if this was the Pro, Pro+, or regular P50.
In any case, the images show off a design that looks fairly similar to the older Mate 30, although the camera bump is off-centre here. Have a look and judge for yourself:
Looking closely the phone has curved edges on the back/front of the phone, seemingly suggesting that this is the Pro or Pro+ version. Curved edges are usually reserved for the more premium options in the series, so perhaps this might be indicative of that. However, given the fact that Huawei is a company that clearly places a lot of emphasis upon the design of its new smartphones, it does seem rather unlikely that the upcoming P50 would use a recycled design of sorts.
Gsmarena themselves appear to be unconvinced by the veracity of the images, so take this with a pinch of salt. Regardless, more (official) information on the P50 should be arriving at some point soon, so be sure to come back to SoyaCincau.com for the latest developments on that. So, what do you think?
