COVID-19: 1,070 new cases today, Selangor recorded the most with 327 cases

Malaysia has recorded 1,070 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 352,029. There are 7 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,295.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1,294 new recoveries and a total of 336,456 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 95.6% while the mortality rate is at 0.37%.

There are currently 14,278 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 180 are in ICU while 89 require respiratory support.

Out of the 1,070 new cases today, 9 are imported while 1,061 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 327 cases, followed by Sarawak with 225 cases, Pulau Pinang with 133 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 88 cases.

The Ministry of Health has identified 6 new clusters today and 5 are workplace related. Below is the list of newly identified clusters:

A total of 48 clusters have recorded new cases today. The Jalan Jelawat cluster recorded the most with 34 new cases, followed by Kampung Binyu cluster with 34 cases and Pulau Enoe cluster with 14 new cases.
