Poco, the cheap and good smartphone brand under Xiaomi is expected to unveil two smartphones powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 series. One of it is the Poco F3 which is expected to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G, which is essentially an overclocked Snapdragon 865+.
A day before the devices are revealed, serial leakster Ishan Agarwal has shared what appears to be official renders of the Poco F3. Just as speculated before, this is a rebadge Redmi K40 which was introduced in China last month.
The rear of the Poco F3 also features a Mi 11 inspired camera bump design but it’s rectangular in shape. To differentiate itself from the Redmi K40, it gets Poco 5G branding at the back for the black and white version. However, there’s a blue option that has a large slanted “POCO” branding at the rear.
From what we can see, the rest of the phone seems identical with the Redmi K40. That means you should expect a 6.67″ Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In the camera department, it would feature a triple-camera setup that consists of a 48MP main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5MP tele-macro camera. For selfies, the punch-hole on the display houses a 20MP selfie camera.
Powering the K40 is a 4,520mAh battery which supports 33W fast charging via USB-C. The device has stereo speakers but there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack.
Apart from the F3, Xiaomi is also expected to introduce the Poco X3 Pro, which is a step up from the popular Poco X3 NFC. The device is speculated to come with a 120Hz Full HD+ display, a Snapdragon 860 processor and a 5,200mAh battery.
The full details and pricing are expected to be revealed tomorrow at 8pm. You can watch the event live on Facebook.
