COVID-19: 1,219 new cases today, Selangor tops the list with 499 cases

Malaysia has recorded 1,219 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 327,253. There are 2 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,220.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1,346 new recoveries and a total of 310,958 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 95.02% while the mortality rate is at 0.37%.

There are currently 15,075 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 154 are in ICU while 64 require respiratory support.

Out of the 1,219 new cases today, 7 are imported while 1,212 are transmitted locally. Selangor has recorded the most with 499 cases, followed by Sarawak with 225 cases and Johor with 169 cases.
