MateStation S: Huawei Malaysia’s first desktop PC goes on sale on 20 March, priced from RM2,488

The MateStation S is the first desktop computer to be offered by Huawei Malaysia. This comes after the Chinese tech giant had introduced a variety of affordable Ryzen-powered laptops for our market.

The Huawei Malaysia Online store has finally revealed the pricing of the MateStation S and it appears that you can order online from the 20th of March at 10.08am. The MateStation S computer itself costs RM2,488 but you can get the 23.8″ Huawei Full HD AD80 monitor (RRP: RM688) bundle for RM2,999. Huawei is also bundling an Entertainment Gift Package worth RM189.

To recap, the MateStation S is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 4600G with Radeon graphics. According to the spec sheet, it appears to come with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB of SSD, but you can expand it further as it has two SO-DIMM memory and M2. slots.

Since this is a desktop, it comes with a wide variety of ports including 2x USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 1), 2x USB-A (USB 2.0), 1x RJ45 LAN port, 1x serial port, 1x VGA port, 1x HDMI port and audio ports at the rear. Over at the front, there’s no optical drive and it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, 1x USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 2) port and 1x USB-C port. 

The tower itself also has 5GHz 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 support. Another nice touch is the Huawei Ultra-Slim keyboard which comes an power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor. It also supports Tap to Connect which enables multi-screen collaboration with a compatible Huawei smartphone. Take note that the keyboard and mouse is only included when you purchase the bundle option.
